Review:
*Sigh* I was so looking forward to Jamie’s story and seeing who he would finally settle down with. Unfortunately, this was not my favorite Donovan fam book.
Thoughts:
-My biggest problem was the narrative of adoption — it was written about with such a negative connotation when in actuality sometimes adoption is the best and only option for families
-It was your typical small town single dad romance. The characters were likable and I loved that you got to see the bond and ride-or-die attitude of the Donovan siblings
-I didn’t see much chemistry between Jamie and Fallon outside of their shared love for Jamie’s baby — which is a pitfall I feel many single parent stories fall into
If you’re looking for a classic surprise baby story, give this one a shot, but it wasn’t my favorite Donovan sibling storyline.
Thank you Netgalley, Samantha Chase and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to review this book!
