Review:
This was a cute southern small-town romance with a ton of family drama in the mix. I really enjoyed Becky’s family and how close they were, but I wish we got more of the comradery between the siblings and saw their relationship more aside from just knowing the brothers are crazy protective over Becky. Truth be told, I didn’t feel too much romantic connection between Glen and Becky. I saw a supportive friendship (which I loved), but all they seemed to talk about was their complicated family history. I liked Glen a lot, he was sweet the definition of a Southern boy. The conversations about drug addiction his character brought forward were incredibly important and Fletcher portrayed the difficulties of sobriety and addiction in a powerful way through him.
This was a sweet book, but I just wish there was a little more dimension to the characters and relationships. If you’re in the mood for a small-town Southern charm book, check it out!
Thank you KG Fletcher and @delightfullybooked for a #gifted copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!
