Honeyed - Carrie Aarons

a hand holding a kindle near a small waterfall with the book Bittersweet by Carrie Aarons on the screen

Review:

As someone who is not typically a friends-to-lovers fan, I went into this a little nervous, but I have to admit that Aarons knocked this out of the park! I absolutely lovedddd this book!

Thoughts:

-Alana is such a spitfire and you can clearly tell she grew up around all boys. She was such a fiery and fun character to read and get to know. It was clear that she thought her love for Warren was a weakness, but it was actually one of her greatest strengths

-Warren. Oh boy, I just loved him. He was such a well-developed character. His tragic upbringing was written with such dimension and drove the plot forward in more ways than one

-Warren and Alana’s consistent support of each other, even when they weren’t talking to each other made my heart swell. It was so obvious how much they cared about each other

-Aarons did a great job of showing the complexities of falling for your best friend and how much can be at stake if you take that chance

-I loved the Ashton family dynamic so much more in this book. We got a glimpse into all of the siblings a bit more and you could tell how robust they are as a unit

This book was such a great small-town friends-to-lovers read with the right amount of chemistry, love, and drama! I highly recommend picking this one up!

Thank you Carrie Aarons and Grey’s Promotions for a #gifted copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!
