Review:
This was a sweet small-town romance with a little crime thrown in! Aarons depicted a small-town gossip mill perfectly and how small-town generational businesses can be both beneficial and detrimental to families. Cassandra and Patrick’s romance was sweet. I liked how fiercely protective he was of her. I also loved the found family aspect and Cassandra’s bravery and commitment to figuring out what makes her happy in life. My only wish is that we were shown a little more of Cassandra and Patrick’s past. Their romance felt too insta-love and honestly sort of out of the blue. Patrick also was a little too intense for me too early and turned me away a bit. This one wasn’t my favorite, but it was sweet, so if you’re looking for a nice small-town romance, give it a try! Thank you Carrie Aarons and Grey’s Promotions for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!
